Online High School at Wellspring: College Life Readiness

The high school years shape everything that comes next. Wellspring Global Academy offers an accredited online high school for grades 9-12 that combines college-preparatory rigor with the flexibility and personal attention that helps students find their path and pursue it with confidence. Serving families across Texas and nationwide, our program graduates every student with a Cognia-accredited diploma and the academic record to back it up.

A Diploma That Is Recognized

As of June 2026, Wellspring is fully accredited through Cognia, one of the most widely recognized accrediting bodies in K-12 education, with accreditation granted through the Innovative Network of Knowledge (INK). A Wellspring diploma is a Cognia-accredited diploma, recognized by colleges, universities, employers, and licensing bodies. Learn more on our Accreditation page.

A College-Preparatory Curriculum

Our high school curriculum is aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and taught by certified, subject-area teachers. Courses challenge students to think critically, communicate clearly, and solve complex problems across disciplines. Academic areas include:

  •     English: literature, composition, research, and communication
  •     Mathematics: algebra through calculus
  •     Science: biology, chemistry, physics, and specialized electives with virtual lab experiences
  •     Social Studies: world history, U.S. history, economics, government, and global studies
  •     World Languages: Spanish, French, and more with conversational practice
  •     Electives: fine arts, technology, business, health, and specialized interests

Academic Pathways

Students ready to go further have several pathways to college-level work and real-world experience.

Dual enrollment

Eligible students can earn both high school and college credit simultaneously through our partnerships with accredited colleges and universities. Dual enrollment courses appear on a college transcript and give students an authentic head start on their postsecondary journey. Visit our AP and Dual Enrollment page for the full picture.

Career-connected learning

High school is where career-connected learning becomes most tangible. Through internships, mentorships, industry certification opportunities, and entrepreneurship projects, students begin building real skills and professional experience alongside their academic work. Whether a student is headed to a four-year university, a trade program, or their own venture, we help them make the most of these four years.

Built for How Students Actually Live

Wellspring's flexible model works for student-athletes, performers, students managing health challenges, and families who travel. Scheduling accommodates training, auditions, and appointments without sacrificing academic quality or rigor.

For student-athletes with NCAA aspirations, Cognia accreditation is an important part of the eligibility picture, but the NCAA evaluates each student individually based on coursework, GPA, and test scores. We strongly encourage athletes to connect with their Educational Concierge early to build a compliant course plan from the start.

Your Concierge From 9th Grade Through Graduation

Every enrolled family is paired with a dedicated Educational Concierge, included in tuition at no additional cost. Your Concierge is involved in every stage of your student’s high school experience: course selection, AP and dual enrollment planning, college application support, essay guidance, transcript management, and scholarship research. For families navigating the college process for the first time, this relationship is invaluable. For students who know exactly where they are headed, it keeps everything on track.

How the School Day Works

Wellspring combines scheduled live sessions with self-paced independent work. High schoolers typically participate in several live sessions daily, with the remainder of their time spent on independent coursework, projects, and collaborative activities. Recordings are available for any live session a student cannot attend, giving students the flexibility to manage demanding schedules while staying connected to teachers and classmates.

Students attend their scheduled live sessions and complete independent work within weekly progress expectations. This balance builds the self-management and accountability that college and career demand, while the structure keeps students on pace toward graduation requirements.

A Real Community, Not Just a Platform

Virtual does not mean isolated at Wellspring. Students participate in live sessions, collaborative projects, virtual clubs, student government, and events that build genuine peer connections. Teachers invest in classroom culture from the first week, and your Educational Concierge ensures no student falls through the cracks. Families often tell us their students feel more known at Wellspring than they did in a traditional school.

Support When a Student Needs It

Rigorous coursework comes with challenges, and Wellspring is built to meet them. Our support system includes teacher office hours, one-on-one sessions, small group tutorials, and supplemental resources, all coordinated by your Educational Concierge. For students who need to make up coursework, the Academic Mastery Program provides flexible, self-paced credit recovery, and for students with IEPs, 504 plans, or other learning needs, our team implements appropriate accommodations from the start.

Funding and Financial Aid

We offer need-based financial aid, merit scholarships, sibling discounts, and military and first responder discounts. Families in Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, West Virginia, and New Hampshire may be able to use state Education Savings Account (ESA) funding toward tuition. For current rates and payment plans, visit our Tuition and Financial Aid page.
